How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancellation goes through your iPhone's settings, not the FamSpendy app:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Tap FamSpendy, then Cancel Subscription
Cancelling stops the next renewal but you keep access until the end of the current billing period. You can also re-subscribe later from inside the app.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
Tapping "Start free trial" starts a 7-day window where you have full access to FamSpendy at no charge. Apple confirms your Apple ID at the start, but you are not billed until day 8. Cancel any time before then in iPhone Settings → Subscriptions → FamSpendy and you will not be charged.
Each Apple ID is eligible for one free trial of FamSpendy ever. If you have trialled before, that trial cannot be reset.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple, not FamSpendy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or by contacting Apple Support directly. If Apple grants the refund, your FamSpendy access ends immediately.
I subscribed on one device, how do I get access on another?
Open the FamSpendy app on the new device, log in with the same account, and tap Restore purchases on the paywall (or in Settings → Subscription). Your subscription follows your account, not the device.
How do invitations work?
The owner of a household can invite others by email from Settings → Family → Invite member. The invited person receives an email with a link that opens the FamSpendy app and lets them join. One paid subscription covers the whole household — additional members do not need to subscribe separately.
How do I change my email address?
Settings → Account → Edit profile → tap your email. We will send a verification link to the new address; the change only takes effect once you click that link. Your old email keeps working until then.
How do I delete my account and data?
Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, expenses, receipts, goals, and any data we hold about you. If you are the owner of a household with other members, transfer ownership first or the household is also deleted.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Email support@somitechnologies.com from the address on your account and we will export your data and send it to you within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR.
